One of the most exciting singers on the jazz scene, Emilia Mårtensson, is coming to Parken in Trelleborg.
Emilia Mårtensson is originally from Trelleborg, but for the last 18 years she has been living in London working as a musician. She has build a well-earned reputaion of being one of the most exciting singers of jazz in the UK and back in 2016 she was given the award "Vocalist of the Year" from The Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
Emilia is now releasing her fourth album 'Loredana' on the British record label Babel label. The album is named after Emilia's mother Loredana, (Lulu), and the album draws inspiration from stories about the mother-child relationship.
The band consists of Luca Boscgin on guitar, Adriano Adewale on percussion, Fulvio Sigurta on trumpet and Electronics and Sam Lasserson on bass.
Together with Emilia, they play songs from the new album as well as original interpretations of well-known tunes such as Blackbrid by The Beatles, Telegram för Fullmånen by Cornelis Vreeswijk and What are you doing the rest of your life by Michel Legrand.
