The church was built in the 1100s and was renovated and added to in the 15th and 19th century, for example the nave was extended in the 1400s.
In the 1800s the windows were replaced and the medieval paintings were painted over.
The font in the church is from the 1400s. Altarpiece, pulpit and organ originate from the 19th century.
In the graveyard a quite special stone is placed along the wall, it tells the story of Mätta Larsdotter who gave birth seven days after her death.
