Nature reserve east of Trelleborg
Dalköpinge ängar is a nature reserve, three hectares in size, created in 1975. The nature reserve consists of wetlands, supplied with water by the Gislövån stream that flows into the sea in the eastern parts of the reserve. In the nature reserve there are also remnants of a medieval chapel, which have a protected status.
The Dalköpinge ängar nature reserve has a long history of being used for grazing by cattle and horses for hundreds of years. This is evident by the plants found in the reserve and the care plan for the area is adjusted to suit the needs of the nature.
The reserve contains a varied selection of plants, from marsh plants to orchids.
